Employment Opportunities at Minnesota CLE

Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, a nationally recognized, award‐winning CLE organization, is seeking candidates for the position of Conference Center Associate, a position responsible for providing dependable support to the Conference Center Manager and program staff in the day-to-day operations of the conference center.  Tasks include seminar registration, refreshment preparation, sales of educational material, and faculty support.  This position is a combination of customer service, hospitality, and administrative work.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Handles preparation for in-person events and meetings—including registration, administrative tasks, organizing seminar material and presentation technology, curating signage, catering setup, and classroom arrangement
  • Delivers brief introductory remarks for pre-recorded seminar replays
  • Responds to general inquiries and provides customer service for seminar attendees and walk-up customers
  • Facilitates sales and inventory of education material (books, references guides, etc.)
  • Assists with post-seminar reception setup and service
  • Places catering orders as necessary
  • Orders and maintains conference center supplies as necessary
  • Assists with conference center cleaning and organization
  • Assists with DVD duplication and maintenance of seminar archive
  • Carries out duties as delegated by the Conference Center Manager
  • Assists with other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to balance the demands of quality customer service with time-sensitive needs of volunteer contributors and colleagues
  • Must be able to contribute to and work effectively on a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be sensitive to organizational and interpersonal dynamics
  • Flexible availability, including weekday hours between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and the occasional Saturday
