Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, a nationally recognized, award‐winning CLE organization, is seeking candidates for the position of Program & Publications Assistant, a position responsible for providing dependable administrative support to our attorneys in the development of continuing legal education seminars and legal practice manuals and tools.


Primary Responsibilities
 

  • Prepares and maintains correspondence, reports, and files on a daily basis for the Program & Publications Attorneys
  • Makes reservations and appointments for Program & Publications Attorneys
  • Maintains complete and accurate files and records for every seminar conducted and project managed by Program Attorneys & Publication Attorneys
  • Creates seminar-related and publication project-related correspondence including faculty/author lists and confirmations; project timeline & written materials reminders; thank you letters, etc.
  • Communicates with seminar faculty and/or project authors regarding faculty/author meetings, collection of biographical data; written materials deadlines, audio visual needs and other special requests
  • Proofs fliers, letters, epromotions and web content, and tests online products
  • Organizes and coordinates meetings and seminar activities with event facility personnel
  • Collects and approves invoices
  • Compiles and prepares written seminar materials for printing
  • Prepares seminar evaluation sheets for seminars
  • Provides on-site registration assistance at seminars as necessary
  • Coordinates work of outside vendors as it relates to seminars and publications
  • Manages, independently, some publications projects, such as Probate Court Directory project, and forms projects, as requested

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be comfortable dealing directly with attorneys, judges and bar leaders and other professionals
  • Must be able to contribute to and work effectively on a team
  • Must be sensitive to organizational and interpersonal dynamics
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks within multiple projects on different timelines

Annual salary is low 40s DOE.
