In this two-hour training, we aim to raise your awareness of neurodiversity and provide language and context to neurodivergent experiences. Including discussions about the difference between “neurodiverse” and “neurodivergent,” the Social Models of Disability vs. the Medical Model of Disability, and a brief overview of some of the traits you may see in neurodivergent individuals.
Through engaging discussions, attendees will examine ableism and its effects on individuals with disabilities, including those dealing with mental health challenges and substance use disorders. The session will also cover skills, such as executive functioning and self-accommodation strategies, designed to support neurodivergent professionals and colleagues. Practical empathy exercises will help foster a more inclusive, understanding work environment. Whether you are seeking to enhance client relationships, better support coworkers, or enhance your own wellbeing, this workshop provides actionable tools and insights to build a more accommodating and successful legal practice.
